Call of Duty Vanguard: Preload shortly and installation sizes for PS5 / PS4

After the Call of Duty games in recovered sizes in recent years revenues and stressed a large part of the console store, the developers at Call of Duty Vanguard moved the emergency brake. Already in a tweet, it was recently said that the installation size could be half-halved at the latest shooter part.

30 to 50 percent less

In a blog post, which also includes the installation size of the game for each console platform, Activision repeated this statement. It states that the new on-demand texture streaming technology reduces the required space on New Gen consoles and PC by 30 to 50 percent compared to previous serial entries.

Activision points out that players have the opportunity to manage storage space and reduce the file size of the game during or after the preload. Nevertheless, it is noticeable that the PlayStation consoles have to provide significantly more storage space despite the similar download sizes.

Preload starts tomorrow

The Preload appointments for Call of Duty Vanguard were revealed. On the PlayStation consoles, the phase starts tomorrow s 29th October 2021 at 6 o clock. The same applies to the Xbox consoles. The preloading on the PC, however, starts only on 2 November 2021. Further details, including the minimum, recommended and competitive PC specifications, will be published in the coming days.
